STARTIMES UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE
Wednesday’s Result
Vipers SC 1-0 KCCA FC
A perfect outing saw us wind up business in the first round of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on a high note after overcoming rivals KCCA FC on matchday 15.
Spirited performance from the boys guided us to a 1-0 win thanks to an own goal by KCCA FC defender Peter Magambo.

After several attempts especially in the first stanza, the breakthrough finally came at the 39th minute mark when Disan Galiwango’s ground cross was diverted to goal by Magambo.
Yunus Ssentamu set up Galiwango with a back heel pass and the latter’s well delivered cross that was aimed to meet Dan Sserunkuma at the far post was connected home by the opponent’s defender.

With a few changes to the lineup from the previous game against URA FC, the Boys showed composure and character right from onset.
Paul Willa who skippered the team in the absence of Halid Lwaliwa did well alongside Livingstone Mulondo and Azizi Kayondo in the three-man defence.

Ibrahim Orit and Galiwango who were deployed as wing backs did well to thwart any dangers, balancing both the defensive and offensive roles.
Karim Watambala had a field day in the middle of the park with Musa Ssali offering cover to the back line.

Today’s victory takes us to second place on 33 points as we wait for the Uganda Premier League secretariat to release the second round fixtures.
