Our gaffer Fred Kajoba has today (Monday) been named Pilsner coach for the month of February after an impressive run. The coach was awarded at a function held at Kati Kati, Restaurant.
He was awarded with a plaque and cash prize of one million shillings.
The Venoms were impressive in February going unbeaten in the seven games played, garnering 17 out of the possible 21 points.
The games were as follows;
• Vipers SC 7-0 MYDA FC
• Express FC 1-1 Vipers SC
• Vipers SC 1-0 UPDF FC
• Kyetume FC 2-2 Vipers SC
• Vipers SC 3-2 Police FC
• Vipers SC 1-0 BUL FC
• Onduparaka FC 1-3 Vipers SC
We won five of our seven Uganda Premier League games, scoring 18, conceding six, drawing 2 and 7 man of the match awards, a run of form that saw us move top of the table before last week’s loss to URA FC.
The coach was delighted for the award and dedicated it to his backroom staff and playing unit.
“I’m happy that they have recognised me as the best coach for last month. I would not achieve this without the people I work with at the club, my fellow coaches and the entire technical team plus the players who do the fighting on pitch.” said Kajoba.
The Venoms will return to action on Wednesday at home against KCCA FC in our last game of the first round.
