STARTIMES UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE

The Match: URA FC v Vipers SC
Date: March 13, 2021
Time: 1pm
Live on Sanyuka TV
Venue: Arena of Visions, Ndejje

StarTimes Uganda Premier League leaders Vipers SC visit URA FC in a match that could prove crucial to the Venoms chances of retaining the title.

The tax collectors have the same number of points with Vipers, both on 30 with the latter on top on goal difference. It’s indeed tight at the top of the table.

This fixture is a meeting of the frontrunners which is expected to have sparks especially with both sides coming into this game after phenomenal victories. URA FC beat Police 2-0 while Vipers SC dispatched SC Villa 3-0 midweek.

Victory for Fred Kajoba’s side will see them extend their lead on top of the table while any result less than victory will affect their morale going into next Wednesday’s showdown with KCCA FC.

“There is no better timing for this fixture than Saturday; we are well prepared to face one of the best sides in the league. Our confidence at this point is high after picking good results against Villa. We know it will be a close contest but we are up for the task,” Kajoba warned.

However the Venoms have struggled in the past away meetings against the tax collectors. The Kitende side last won 1-0 away in 2017/18 season at Namboole while last season’s visit ended in a 3-1 humiliation at the Arena of Visions.

“It is a test we have found hard to pass but we are going to fight for everything from the start to the end.” Kajoba added.

There will be renewal of acquaintances when Siraje Sentamu returns to Ndejje to face a side he once played for.

Likewise former Venoms; Brian Nkuubi, Ashraf Mandela, Steven Mukwala and Benjamin Nyakoojo who now play for URA FC will be turning their guns against their previous pay masters.
