STARTIMES UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE
Match: Vipers SC v Soltilo Bright Stars FC
Date: 3- March- 2021
Time: 4pm
Venue: St Mary’s stadium
Fred Kajoba admits that facing Soltilo Bright Stars FC on Wednesday at the St Mary’s stadium will not be an emotional occasion for him.
But the Venoms gaffer knows its strictly business as usual and is more focused on delivering a positive result for his current team rather than basking on memories.
Kajoba guided Bright Stars to their first ever finals of the Uganda Cup in 2019 which they lost in penalties to Proline FC and is regarded as one of the best coaches to have handled the Mwererwe based side.
Looking ahead to the game, he said: “We closed that chapter though the memories remained but we have since moved on and tomorrow its purely going to be another affair. Its business and real business. We will enjoy fighting for three points as well.”
Vipers picked a crucial win away in Arua against Onduparaka FC and the coach is convinced they are steadily moving in the right direction hoping the boys can stay on course.
“We have worked on our finishing and we saw a couple of chances created against Onduparaka and we converted three into goals. We pray the boys can do better because all the teams are also doing well.”
A win for Vipers SC will keep them at the apex of the table with 27 points.
Meanwhile this encounter is vital before the reigning champions enter the toughest of their remaining four fixtures where they will face Mbarara City FC, SC Villa, URA FC and KCCA FC beginning this weekend.
Team News:
Halid Lwaliwa and Siraje Sentamu are back after sitting out the 3-1 win over Onduparaka with minor knocks.
This fixture comes too early for Milton Karisa who is instead expected to be around to face URA FC and KCCA FC.
Abraham Ndugwa is out with a metatarsal problem while Ahmed Amayo recovered from fever and is back training with the team.
