A total of five players from our team have made the Uganda U-20 final squad that will play at the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Zonal Qualifiers.
A squad of 20 players was confirmed on Friday morning by coach Morley Byekwaso with five Venoms making the cut.
Of the five, three are from the senior team (Vipers SC) while the other two are from our Junior Team.
These include left back Aziz Kayondo, midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga and striker, Najib Yiga.
Ivan Asaba and Richard Basangwa from our Junior Team also make the final squad.
The Uganda Hippos departed for Tanzania this morning where the tournament will be staged on Friday morning.
Uganda is in group B alongside Burundi, Eritrea and South Sudan while hosts Tanzania are in group A with Somalia, Rwanda and Djibouti.
Group C has Ethiopia, Kenya and Sudan.
The Uganda Hippos Final Squad:
Goalkeepers:- Jack Komakech and Denis Kaala Ssenyondwa.
Defenders:- Semakula Kenneth, Kizito Mugweri Gavin, Musa Ramathan, Kayondo Abdul Aziz, Bbosa Richard and Kafumbe Joseph.
Midfielders:- Wabyoona Faisal, Byaruhanga Bobosi, Sserwadda Steven
Strikers:- Ssali Alpha Thierry, Yiga Najib, Basangwa Richard , Mulindi Ashiraf, Asaba Ivan, Bukenya Joseph Kizza, Bogere Ivan, Mugulusi Isma and Onyai Raymond Derrick.
