There is a new man at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende. And he is not just your ordinary player as he swaggers into the reigning champions’ home with pomp and flair. And unlike many other players, the 22-year-old maintains a calm demeanour despite being well-travelled football artist.

David Bagoole is the fourth signing for Vipers ahead of the 2020/21 season after agreeing to a three-year deal following several weeks of negotiations between the two parties.

The ‘Wise Man from the East’ put pen to paper today after getting deserved blessings from his former employers Busoga United.

“I am very happy and proud to be the latest member of this special Vipers family. I believe this is the best club in the country and I promise to give my all,” the soft-spoken Bagoole said soon after being unveiled.

”My job will be simple. I want to help the club defend the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) as well as reachthe CAF Champions League group stages,” added Bagoole with a wry smile on his face.

Sealed:- Bagoole put pen to paper on a three-year contract earlier today.

Bagoole is expected to link up with his new teammates, for the season preparations, when the lockdown on social gatherings, sports in particular, is lifted.

Bagoole started his footballing career at Busembatia Town Council enroute to SC Villa in 2014 before moving to Sofapaka of Kenya towards the end of 2015.

After one and half years at the Kenyan club, La Passe of Seychelles signed him in July 2016 until February 2017 when he returned home and joined BUL FC. In between those movements, Bagoole also enjoyed short stints at Police FC and Baza Holdings.

In November 2017, he joined OC Bukavu Dawa of the Democratic Republic of Congo from where Busoga United signed him at the start of the 2018/19 football season.

Pure value:- Fred Kajoba and his fourth signing of the season.

During his first season at the Mighty Arena, he played 29 games, scoring twice and registering 13 assists with six Man-of-Match (MOM) accolades.

A consistent performer, Bagoole thrives most while playing behind the front runners and is expected to take up the playmaker’s duties at the Venoms.

Head coach Fred Kajoba expressed delight after capturing one of the players he is confident is a pure value addition to his squad.

“There is no doubt we have signed one of the best midfieldersin the business,” said Kajoba, with a confident tone. “I am convinced he will deliver. He has proven his abilities over time and there is no doubt about him.”

Welcome Bagoole. You’re now a Venom!!!
