Vipers Sports Club’s latest acquisition from Bright Stars Jamil Kalisa has penned down an appreciation note thanking the various personalities who have helped him scale the heights up to his latest home to-date in Kitende.

Jamil Kalisa will work again under his former coach at Bright Stars FC, Fred Kajoba.

The attacking midfielder, who was officially unveiled as a Venom, last Tuesday after completing a four-year-deal transfer to Vipers, claims that his affection towards his former club – Bright Stars – will forever be remembered.

Kalisa posted on his official Facebook page applauding the support he has received from the Mwererwe-based club’s officials and ‘special’ fans towards his career development as nothing taken lightly or for granted.

“It has been a great two seasons with you the Stars,” Kalisa wrote.

“I am grateful for the opportunity you gave me all the way from the Regional League. It has been a joyful development since I joined topflight football.

“Round of applause to the management of Bright Stars and fellow players that always believed in me from Day One. The sponsors, fans and other stakeholders, too, have played their part.

All-round praise

Kalisa thanked the previous coaches that have enabled him turn into an admirable footballer. He also reserved special praise for Vipers tactician Fred Kajoba, who believed in him when nobody had even noticed his real potential.

”Special thanks to the big man. Thanks for giving me an opportunity at Bright Stars when no one knew what impetus I would add to the side. I am grateful to coach Kajoba and I cannot wait to repay the faith,” added Kalisa.

Kalisa put pen to paper on a four-year-deal.

In his final farewell, Kalisa also thanked the club – Lungujja Galaxy SC – which groomed him during his early career days as he started to grasp the ABC of the beautiful game.

“I take this chance also to appreciate my mother club Lungujja Galaxy SC. I salute the club president Mr.Venancio Asiimwe and the entire Dream Team FC (Futsal League) for the priceless times we spent together and invaluable exposure,” he concluded.

Kalisa’s final remarks were dedicated to his family that have always supported him morally and sometimes financially.
