SUPL Fixture: Vipers vs. Maroons
Date: 26 – February – 2020
Time: 4.30pm
Venue: St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende
The past is not in our control but we can dictate the future.
That is the mantra and certainly part of the pep talk coach Fred Kajoba will preach to the Venoms when they go out seeking vengeance for last week’s loss to URA against Maroons at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende tomorrow (Wednesday, February 26).

The defeat at the Arena of Visions still hurts and Douglas Bamweyana’s troops will fancy causing another twist in the title race despite their standing on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) log.
Maroons (13th with 24 points from 23 games) have a lot of business to take care of. The relegation monster continued to stare at them following a 1-0 home loss to Busoga United in their last fixture.
Vipers Sports Club, though, will care less as they must reign supreme in this encounter to relieve themselves of any pressure as the SUPL reaches its final bend.

“We are not looking at the past, our sights are set on the task ahead,” vice captain Geoffrey Wasswa said in the build up to the encounter.
“We are more confident and fired up to produce the needed results and we are certainly looking to get the best from the remaining games.”
The statistical fact that Vipers’ closest challengers for the title; KCCA and SC Villa failed to garner maximum points from their last games will motivate the team to go for the kill.
Statistics corner
Maroons lost the reverse fixture after they were docked three points and three goals for fielding ineligible Hannington Sebwalunyo, who had accumulated three cards, then.
