Here’s a team news update ahead of our Sunday’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League clash against BUL FC at the Fufa technical center in Njeru.
Fred Kajoba’s side know a win would be huge, and will stretch their lead on the table to five points ahead on their encounter with KCCA FC on February 18.
Bashir Asiku is back after recovering from an ankle problem he picked last month from training. The defender has since been sidelined and went on to miss five league games and our Uganda Cup against Kajjansi United.
However, Asiku is fit to play again having played some minutes in a practice match against Lweza FC on Wednesday.
The youngster is doubtful for the trip to Njeru following a knock he picked during the 1-0 win over Onduparaka. Watambala has been training away from the main team as he is still under the doctor’s supervision.
Halid Lwaliwa suffered a knee problem during the match at Proline FC on January 14th and has since returned to training aiming to return to full training.
Tight hamstring. Limped off during the match at Proline FC on January 14th and Siraje Ssentamu has been rehabilitating aiming to return to full training soon.
Knee injury. Will undergo a CT scan to determine whether or not he will need surgery.
Meniscus injury. He is in his final stages of rehabilitation and aiming to return to full training late February or early March.
Underwent a successful surgery and in rehabilitation process expected to take between four to six months.
