Paul Mucureezi is determined to build on his sensational start as a Vipers SC player and believes his arrival at the club will be the start of something big.
New signing Paul Mucureezi has expressed delight in scoring his first Uganda Premier League for us.
The 26-year-old made his full Vipers debut on Friday evening as the Venoms fought for a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Kyetume FC at the St Mary’s Stadium.
And Mucureezi made it a day to never forget after netting the only goal of the game thanks to a fine finish following a well-timed chip ball from Tito Okello.
Playing on the attack, Mucureezi was on form from start to finish in the game and impressed with his performance on the day.
And speaking after the victory, Mucureezi told the club website: “Words can’t describe how I’m feeling right now. So happy to have scored my first Vipers goal and bagging the three points as well. Hopefully the first of many.”
“I helped the team and I want to keep doing the same in the future. I want to thank my team-mates and the fans for their support.”
“I feel at home in this team. I train with them every day since l joined and everyone’s so welcoming. I’m just happy to be here.”
On the good reception he received from fans, Mucureezi added: “The only way for me to thank them is on the pitch and keep doing what I do best.”
