Vipers SC v Kyetume FC

Vipers SC players and officials returned to serious business this Friday morning after a two days’ break to allow them celebrate Christmas.

In a bid to remain focused on the target of contending for titles this season, the Venoms begun preparations for the second and final bend of the season quite early (December 16th).

The players were taken through their paces, first with a gym session before going to the pitch.

Coach Edward Golola was in charge of the training session and believes it is important to keep the team together and focused.

“It is important for us to lay the strategy early enough ahead of the second round. It is a season defining period and if you do not handle it well, you end up failing on your targets. The second round kicks off a few days from now and we want to be ready by the time we play our first game.”

A quartet of Vipers SC players who helped Uganda to win the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup that is; Halid Lwaliwa, Fahad Bayo, Karim Watambala and Paul Willa will return to training tomorrow (December 28th) morning.

We went into the break top of the league table with 36 points, losing just one match in the opening half of the season.

The Venoms will start the second of the league at home against Kyetume FC on Friday, January 10th, 2020.
