Edward Golola has on Monday been named the Pilsner coach for the month of October. This was confirmed in a brief function held at Kati Kati restaurant in Kampala.
The Venoms have had scintillating performance since the start of the season and we remain the only unbeaten side in the Uganda Premier League.
To win the coveted award, coach Golola beat off competition from BUL FC coach Peter Onen and Busoga United coach Abbey Kikomeko.
In October, we played seven games, winning five and drawing two. These included;
- SC Villa 0-0 Vipers SC
- Vipers SC 1-0 Proline FC
- Police FC 1-3 Vipers SC
- Vipers SC 3-0 Express FC
- Vipers SC 2-1 BUL FC
- Onduparaka FC 0-0 Vipers SC
- Kyetume FC 1-2 Vipers SC
Coach Golola lauded the players for the commitment and thanked the league organisers for rewarding him.
“I thank the players for the efforts made so far. It is one thing to be a coach but another to have players that deliver results,” he said before adding, “Winning an individual award like this, my first at the club. It is the perfect time to appreciate my technical team who have so hard since the start of the season.
