The Maroons v Vipers league engagement which had earlier been scheduled for tomorrow (November, 9th, 2019) at Luzira Prisons Playground, has been pushed forward to November 20th, 2019.
”The Uganda Cranes will be playing against Malawi on November 17th, 2019 at Mandela National stadium Namboole”
”Therefore SUPL M#102 Maroons FC Vs Vipers SC earlier postponed, has been rescheduled for Wednesday 20th November 2019 at Luzira prisons ground at 4:30pm” reads part of the communication from StarTimes Uganda Premier League Secretariat.
No sooner had the fixture been rescheduled than the licencing board suspended the Maroons homeground as being unable to host league games. Therefore details of where it will take place following the latest development, remain scanty as of now.
However amidst all the happenings, the Venoms have intensified training in preparation for the remaining three UPL engagements.
With 12 matches played, Vipers currently leads the 16 team table log having garnered 30 points from 9 wins and 3 draws without any loss as the club continues the fight to reclaim the title which has eluded us since 2018.
This arrangement now implies that we will negotiate three matches in a space of eight days as we wind up our first round fixtures.
The Venoms host URA on Tuesday November 12th, 2019 at St Mary’s stadium before travelling to Lugogo for an away fixture against KCCA three days later and negotiates Maroons on November 20th at a yet to be determined venue to conclude the first round.
