Head coach Edward Golola was impressed with the display his charges put up on Saturday to dispatch Express FC in the league game played at St. Mary’s stadium.

The Venoms were in scintillating mode to secure a 3-0 win, a result that saw us move up to second place on the 16-team log with 17 points in seven games. The gaffer believes the team is starting to take shape and play as a unit a thing that will help them to become a formidable force.

“I’m impressed that we continue to improve as a team every other game. I’m proud of the boys for putting up a good display and we managed to score three goals against Express FC.”

About the first half…

“The boys relaxed a bit after scoring the first goal but we talked about it at halftime and I’m happy that when they returned for the second half, they responded well and we dominated proceedings.”

Update on Shaban’s return…

“He has been training and his recovery from the injury has been smooth. We hope to see him on the pitch soon and we hope he will be a good addition to our forward line.”

Fadiga returns…

Midfielder Ashraf Bamuturaki alias Fadiga is yet to feature this season because he has been side-lined with an injury but the coach gave a good update that he is back and ready to play.

“He is one of the young midfielders we have, he has been struggling with an injury but he is back and we want to bring him to the best shape we think he will help the team.”

The Venoms will return to action on Wednesday, 30th October 2019 away to Kyetume FC at Mnadela National stadium.
