Vipers Sports Club will have a strong representation in the Uganda U20 national team squad that will feature at the 2019 CECAFA U20 Challenge Cup.
Our left back Aziz Kayondo headlines the list of players summoned from our team including those from Vipers SC Junior team and St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School – Kitende.
Kayondo who broke into the senior team last season will add a lot of experience to the team. The others include winger Ivan Asaba and striker Najib Yiga from our junior team.
Youngsters Steven Sserwadda, Gavin Kizito Mugweri and Robert Kitabalwa who study from St.Mary’s Kitende, are also part of Uganda’s squad.
The Hippos will begin the tournament against Eritrea on Saturday, 21st September 2019 at Pece War Memorial stadium.
