Six Venoms have been named in the U20 squad that will represent Uganda in the upcoming CECAFA Youth Championship that will take place from September 21 to October 5 in Uganda.
Vipers junior team vice captain Aziz Kayondo, Karim Watambara, Najib Iga, Andrew Kawooya, Ivan Asaba and goalkeeper Mugolofa Mutwalib were six of the Venoms who were summoned in the 30 man squad.
Left back, Robert Kitabalwa from our feeder academy, St Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende also got a call.
Asaba, Kawooya and Iga have been regulars on the U17 team and recently participated in the U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) that was held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The team that will be handled by KCCA FC’s assistant coach Morley Byekwaso will be camped at the Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru.
