Goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya has joined Uganda Premier League side Proline FC on loan for the rest of the 2019/20 season.

The 21-year-old made nine first team appearances (two League games, four Cecafa Kagame Cup and three CAF games) for us before sustaining a knee injury during the Venom’s continental exertions away to Algeria’s CS Constantine in the CAF Champions League group qualifier.

Ssekagya joined us in June 2018 from UPDF FC, where he had an amazing 2017/18 season; playing a pivotal role as his former team fought for survival that was lost on the final day of the league.

The youngster made his debut for Vipers SC in the Cecafa Kagame Cup tournament held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania last year in June, guiding the team up to the quarterfinals.

Ssekagye now heads to Proline FC to gain further first team experience.

Everyone at Vipers SC wishes Ssekagya all the best for his season with Proline FC.
