Youngster Abdul Karim Watambala has expressed delight over his performance at the StarTimes Stadium on Wednesday evening.
We defeated Proline FC 1-0 in the Pilsner Super 8 to advance to the semifinals on our debut in the tournament.
On a day when our defenders had to be on top of their game against a stubborn Proline side, Watambala was the talk after the game for his midfield dominance and passing display.
After the game, he was deservingly awarded the Man of The Match (MoTM) award, his first on his senior debut for Vipers.
“We did a good job. We tired our best to win because it was our first time in the tournament,” Watambala told the club’s official website in an interview.
“Am happy because everything worked out well and as a team we are pleased though still need to work more.”
