Vipers played their first international pre-season friendly match on Saturday evening drawing 1-1 with Aigle Noir CS from Burundi at the St Mary’s stadium.
The visitors led through Vyamungu Roaul in the opening half but the Venoms leveled matters in the second half with a Tito Okello volley.
Vipers head coach Michael Nam Ouma used this game to test the progress of youngsters; Jacob Okao, Karim Watambara and Brian Kalumba who all had a decent display.
This game was watched by hundreds among whom were former Vipers players; Nico Wadada, Farouk Miya, Deus Bukenya, Keziron Kizito and Yunus Ssentamu among others.
We expect to lineup more trial games soon to help us prepare the team for the upcoming rigorous 2019/20 season.
