Vipers Captain Taddeo Lwanga is set to feature at his second Africa Cup of Nations after being named in Uganda’s final 23-man squad for this month’s tournament in Egypt.
The 25-year-old was part of the Cranes side that made it to the 2017 Nations Cup in Gabon.
Cranes coach Desabre selected his final squad from a 28-man squad provisional list after their 0-0 draw with Turkmenistan in a warm up game on Sunday.
The team has been camped in Abu Dhabi for a month now and the Nations Cup kicks off in Egypt on June 21.
Cranes are in pool A at Egypt 2029 and will face DR Congo in their opening match on June 22 and will then lock horns with Zimbabwe five days later before they play their final group game against hosts Egypt on June 30.
