Fufa Juniors League

Tomorrow (May 29)

Vipers JT v Ndejje Univirsty JT

St. Mary’s Stadium (4pm)

Our Junior Team will begin their round 3 campaign of the Fufa Juniors League on Wednesday when they host Ndejje University U19 at the St. Mary’s stadium – Kitende.

Following their 2-1 defeat to Maroons JT last Friday, the reigning champions  will be eager to quickly return to winning ways and hope to close the gap on KCCA Soccer Academy.

The Venoms who are 5 points adrift KCCA must win their remaining games and hope the latter slips up. To play in the finals, Vipers must top the Treble group and later face the leader of the Hattrick group where the eventual winner is crowned champion.

Meanwhile, Vipers may miss the services of skipper Bobos Byaruhanga who also didn’t make the trip to Luzira.

“We hope he will be available to play but let’s first see how he trains in the final practise,'” team manager, Frank Katalaga revealed.

Ndejje were thrashed 7-0 in their previous visit at Kitende and will be hoping to avoid another baptism of fire again.

Ivan Asaba, Sam Ssenyonjo and Najib Iga got their names on the score sheet that day but all eyes will be on Iga when the two sides renew acquaintances.

Najib has scored 15 goals for Vipers this season and has been phenomenal hence Ndejje will have to do a lot to stop the left footed forward.

Team News:

Bobos Byaruhanga missed the first leg through injury but will have to undergo a late fitness test to decide if he will play.

Mohammed Nsereko missed the 2-1 loss to Maroons but may play again.

Mugolofa Mutwalib could start on the bench following a poor display in goal against Maroons. Congolese born keeper Fabrice Kapita or Kevin Semakalu will be selected to start between the sticks.

Musa Jaggwe recovered from a knee injury that kept him out for the entire first and second round. However the defender is back and may make his first season appearance once selected.
