Four players from Vipers Sports Club have earned a call in the Uganda Cranes provisional squad summoned by coach Sebastien Desabre this Monday afternoon.
The provisional squad of 46 players (15 foreign based and 31 locally based) will prepare for Uganda Cranes final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier game against Tanzania slated for 24th April 2019.
The Cranes already sealed their slot at the final tournament but will use the game against Tanzania as a test match where Desabre is expected to ring many changes.
The four Venoms on the team include Moses Waiswa and Taddeo Lwanga who were part of the Cranes team as they sealed qualification last year.
Dan Sserunkuma and Halid Lwaliwa have also been called and will be part of the locally based region that will commence training on April 11th-15th, 2019.
On April 16th, the locally based players will have a trial match against Kampala region in the Cranes regional tour where nine players will be selected to join the 15 foreign based players. From here the team will head to Cairo, Egypt for a training camp before connecting to Tanzania.
