Four players from our junior team (Vipers SC Junior team) are part of the Uganda U17 National team (Cubs) that entered residential camp yesterday.
A provisional squad of 30 players commenced training in preparation for a camp in Turkey due next month.
4 of the 30 players are from Vipers Junior team and these include Gavin Kizito Mugweri, Najib Yiga, Ivan Asaba and Yasin Abdu Owane.
Kizito skippered the U17 team to winning the regional championship which in the end helped the team qualify for the continent tournament.
The players will spend ten days at FUFA technical centre in Njeru before a final squad is released.
All the preparations are in a bid to have the team fine tuned ahead of the U17 African Cup of Nations slated for April in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
