Striker Dan ‘Muzeeyi’ Sserunkuma finally received his accolade for being the top scorer of the 2017/18 Uganda Premier League campaign.

The striker was officially handed his top scorer’s boot on Friday shortly before our match against URA FC at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.

Besides the accolade handed to Sserunkuma by the league CEO Bernard Bainamani, he also got a cash prize of one million shillings.

The lethal forward indicated he was delighted that his efforts were appreciated and hopes to even work harder this season.

“I have no words to express my gratitude for all the kind words for having finally received my 2017/18 season golden boot. I’m very happy”

Sserunkuma lauded his teammates at Vipers SC for enabling him attain the achievement and dedicated the crown to the team.

“I dedicate this to my Vipers SC family. Thank you so much.”

To win the golden boot, Sserunkuma scored 17 goals last season with 11 coming in the second round when he joined us from Express FC.

Sserunkuma has already scored eight goals so far this season, only two behind leading scorer in SC Villa’s Bashir Mutanda.
