First round remaining fixtures

URA FC v Vipers SC

January 25th, Namboole Stadium

Vipers SC v Mbarara City FC

January 27th, St Mary’s Stadium

Majority of the teams in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (UPL) completed their games in the first round but the Venoms still have two games to play.

Due to playing on the continent, Vipers SC games against URA FC and Mbarara City FC were postponed.

The league secretariat on Saturday confirmed the days when the aforementioned two games will be played.

In a statement released by the secretariat Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bernard Bainamani, the Venoms will play the two games next week.

“The Secretariat received the flight itinerary for Vipers SC indicating they return to Uganda on Tuesday, 22nd January 2019,” reads the statement.

The team is away in Tunisia where they will play against CS Sfaxien in the return leg of the playoff phase of Total CAF Confederation Cup. The first leg at St. Mary’s Kitende ended goalless.

“Accordingly URA FC vs Vipers SC match has been rescheduled to Friday 25th January 2019 and Vipers SC vs Mbarara City will be played on Sunday 27th January 2018.” the statement confirms.

In the same regard, the league secretariat also went ahead to release the fixture for the second round and we shall start at home against Kirinya Jinja SS on 1st February 2019.

Vipers SC is second on the UPL table with 29 points.
