Vipers Vipers Sports Club president Dr Lawrence Mulindwa is optimistic the Venoms can get a required result against Club Sportiff Sfaxien away in Tunisia.
While speaking to the players before the team embarked on the long journey to the North African state, the academician urged his troops to believe.
“During the first leg, you displayed a beautiful brand of football which had all the ingredients but goals. It was entertaining, offensive and had everything you could expect from a good team. I urge you to build on that performance going forward”

Flanked by the Kenyan born tactician Mike Nam Ouma, he urged them to believe and not be intimidated by any atmosphere.

“Respect the Tunisians because they will be at home but don’t dare fear them, it will be 11 against 11 with neutral referees therefore seize the opportunity to leave an indelible mark in the club history,” Dr Mulindwa further stressed.
“The club administration is proud of your good works irrespective of any result that you will bring from Sfax. Don’t lose hope, just remain focused for further assignments,” concluded the Honorary Doctor.
On behalf of the players, team captain Tadeo Lwanga promised a good game; full of determination, courage and character to ensure the target is achieved.
Vipers plays CS Sfaxien in the Caf Confederation Cup playoff return leg scheduled on Sunday January 20, 2019 at the Tareb Mhiri Stadium.
