Vipers Sports Club hosts CS Sfaxien on Saturday as the two sides meet for the first time in the CAF Confederation Cup play off tie first leg at the St Mary’s stadium.

The Venoms were drawn against the Tunisian giants last month and must overcome them to book their maiden appearance in the Caf group stages.

Both sides that lie second on the log are unbeaten in their respective domestic leagues so far hence this encounter is poised to be an exciting one.

That all said, we received a fresh update from our medical team ahead of our match against CS Sfaxien.

Here’s the latest team news from our medical department:

Fred Okot

Knee injury: The defender will wait to make his continental debut for Vipers after picking the injury during a 3-1 friendly win over Kyambogo United. The right back has since been sidelined and his return date is not yet known.

Bashir Ssekagya

Knee injury: The goalkeeper is being assessed but picked the injury last month away in Algeria when his side lost 1-0 to CS Constantine in the Caf Champions League. He reported back today and had a light jog at the sidelines.

Aggrey Madoi

Ankle injury: The left back’s return date is not known after he picked the injury during the barren stalemate with Tooro United at St Mary’s stadium.
