Vipers SC Vs Onduparaka FC
Tuesday 8th January, 2019
4PM
St Mary’s Stadium-Kitende
Football lovers around the country will be treated to a fete of exhilarating soccer brand this Tuesday as Vipers SC host Onduparaka FC at St Mary’s stadium Kitende in what promises to be a nail biting encounter as both teams try to recover from previous disappointing results.
Following a frustrating but hard fought 0-0 away stalemate against Bright Stars FC on Saturday, the Venoms find themselves in a must win situation to keep up pace with the front runners in a bid to retain the league trophy before its late.

Vipers duel with the Caterpillars from West Nile is the third competitive fixture in a space of eight days ahead of a crucial Caf Confederations Cup play off engagement against Tunisian giants Club Sportiff Sfaxien on Saturday and it comes at a time when the Venoms are fighting for form after enduring 190 minutes of league football without scoring a goal.
Therefore this is a glorious opportunity for Vipers to recover from that slump and return to winning ways as anything other than three points would be a very big blow to team confidence before a continental tie and the title hopes however in Onduparaka, the Venoms are facing a wounded animal thus cant be taken lightly.

Team News:
On a positive note, team captain Tadeo Lwanga who has missed previous three matches and Abraham Ndugwa who missed the Bright Stars encounter as well as Tito Okello, are both back in contention though will need late fitness tests while Fabien Mutombola who limped off in Mwererwe, has fully recovered hence certain to start in goal.
New signing Innocent Wafula from Gor Mahia will wait to make his debut for Vipers as Fufa is yet to clear him and issue his license through he has been training with his team mates for 6 solid days.
