Vipers SC vs Tooro Utd

4pm

St Mary’s stadium

Tooro United was the better side last season when they played Vipers in a 1-1 stalemate at the St Mary’s stadium.

Baker Lukooya netted for the then Kavumba based side before Erisa Ssekisambu leveled from the spot in one of the best displays the visitors have put up in the last 3 meetings against the Venoms.

Here We Are: Hey Coaches, what do we have today???

Wasswa Bbosa’s last visit to Kitende ended in a 1-0 defeat while he was in charge of SC Villa but returns with a mission of ending Vipers unbeaten home run in the StartTimes Uganda Premier League that they have kept for 13 months now.

Vipers’ last league action ended in a 3-1 victory over BUL FC in Njeru but must win this tie to move level with KCCA provided the Kasasiro boys don’t win that same evening.

Team News:

  • Taddeo Lwanga misses to face his former coach through a foot injury. The Venoms skipper may return next month for the visit to Mwererwe to face Bright Stars.
  • Rahmat Ssenfuka and Noah Wafula are ruled out with a cold and fever respectively.
  • Goal keeper Bashir Ssekagya is still injured hence Fabien Mutombora or Derrick Ochan could start in goal.
  • Bashir Asiku and Dickens Okwir have been cleared to play after their licenses were sorted.
