Vipers SC returned to League action with a bang overcoming a 3-1 win against BUL FC in the game played at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
With our record away against Jinja based teams, the game was always not going to be a walk in the park.

With goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya still out injured, Derrick Ochan who made his debut in the CAF Champions League game against CS Constantine maintained his slot in goal.
Taddeo Lwanga and Geoffrey Wasswa who were suspended and didn’t make the trip to Algeria for the continental game returned to the starting team.
The Venoms had a perfect start with Dan Muzeeyi Sserunkuma firing us into an early lead just two minutes after kick off.
A free kick by Yayo Lutimba was brushed into Sserunkuma’s path by Geoffrey Wasswa and the diminutive forward who was unmarked on the far end did no mistake to slot home.

This seemed to have given us momentum enjoying majority of the possession while on the other hand, Livingstone Mulondo and Halid Lwaliwa thwarted away danger.
Upon resumption, Vipers SC were forced into making a substitution introducing Brian Nkuubi for skipper Taddeo Lwanga who had sustained an injury towards the end of the first half.
BUL FC equalised in the 56th through Villa Oromchan but the Venoms kept surging forward in a bid to regain the lead.
The manager called for more changes introducing Duncan Sseninde and Noah Wafula for Abraham Ndugwa and Sserunkuma respectively.
Okello scored a thunderbolt that went straight into the back of the net and Sseninde put the icing on the cake.
Victory means we move to second place on 24 points with two games in hand.
