Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed a set of referees from Senegal to officiate our game away to Club Sportive Constantine in Algeria.
The Venoms will be in action this Friday against the Algerian outfit in the first leg of the first round of the CAF Champions League.
Maguette Ndiaye will take charge as the centre referee with Djibril Camara and El Hadji Malick Samba as first and second assistant respectively.
Issa Sy also from Senegal will be the fourth official for the game while Tanzania’s Khalid Abdallah Mohamed will be the match commissioner.
The team left for Algeria on Wednesday evening and expected to arrive in Constantine on Thursday.
Manager Javier Martinez Espinosa named a squad of 18 players that will be tasked with the duty to earn a positive result away.
Skipper Taddeo Lwanga and defender Geoffrey Wasswa didn’t travel with the team because they are suspended.
The return leg will come next week on 22nd December 2018 at St. Mary’s stadium. The winner on aggregate will progress to the group stage.
To reach this stage, Vipers SC eliminated El Merreikh from Sudan at the preliminary phase.
