Vipers Sports Club manager Javier Martinez Espinosa has named the team that will travel to Sudan ahead of the crucial encounter against Al Merreikh in the CAF Champions League.

The manager named a squad of 18 players comprising of two goalkeepers, six defenders and six midfielders plus four strikers.

With Fabien Mutombora ruled out due to an injury, Bashir Ssekagya and Derrick Ochan will be the two goalkeepers that will be available for selection.

Skipper Taddeo Lwanga and his assistant Moses Waiswa who sat out in the 1-0 win against Paidha Black Angels on Friday after returning from National duty are part of the travelling contingent.

Youngster Brian Kalumba is part of the contingent heading to Sudan.

The team is expected to depart in the wee hours of Tuesday morning aboard Ethiopian Airlines.

Vipers SC will be seeking for a positive result away in Khartoum according to manager Espinosa and believes his team is in the right shape.

“We go into this game seeking for a good result away in Khartoum. It is important that we won our last league game therefore we go into this game with our spirits high. The players are in good shape and ready to fight for a positive result.” he said.

The game is slated for Wednesday, 28th November 2018 with the return leg at St. Mary’s stadium scheduled for 5th December 2018.
