Defender Geoffrey Wasswa was the hero of the day as his stoppage time winner sealed maximum points for Vipers SC.
Fresh from playing for the U23 National team, Wasswa grabbed a last gasp winner to help the Venoms secure a 2-1 win against Paidha Black Angel, a result that meant the team returned to the top of the table.

This was also the first win for Vipers SC after three games that had all ended in stalemates.
Manager Javier Martinez Espinoza made several changes to the team including handing goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya his debut with Fabien Mutombora out injured.
Ibrahim Kiyemba started at right back, left back Aggrey Madoi returned to the starting team just like Livingstone Mulondo while Wasswa was the day’s captain in the absence of skipper Taddeo Lwanga and his assistant Moses Waiswa who had just returned from National team duty.
Upfront, Tito Okello, Brian Kalumba and Joseph Jjanjali all started the game with Abraham Ndugwa, Duncan Sseninde and Rahmat Ssenfuka completing the other slots.

The Venoms made several attempts to take an early lead but could not find the desired breakthrough.
Kalumba failed to tap home faced with just an empty net in the 7th minute. Okello too came close but fired wide.
Wasswa has his well curled free kick saved by Paidha’s goalkeeper John Kalumba in the 17th minute.
Vipers kept dominating possession and creating chance after chance. At the stoke of halftime, Sseninde went through on goal but fumbled with the ball and failed to shoot at goal.
The much needed breakthrough came in the 58th minute when Ndugwa was tripped in the box and referee Brian Miiro Nsubuga pointed to the spot.
Okello converted the resultant penalty to fire Vipers SC into the lead.
However, the visitors levelled matters seven minutes later after a mix up in defence gifted Cromwell Abang who fired home.
With the game destined for the end and four minutes of added time shown, Wasswa led like a captain and restored the Venoms lead.
The defender struck home at near post to help the team return to the top of the table on 18 points.
