Vipers JT 3-2 KCCA JT
Andrew Kawooya, Tonny Tulituuka and Najib Iga all got on the score sheet as Vipers junior team came from behind to defeat KCCA 3-2 on Sunday evening in a thrilling match played at the St Mary’s stadium.
KCCA made a great start and opened the score 17 minutes into the game but blamed themselves later for the profligacy in front of the goal.
Following the visitors’ lead, Ronald Ssali’s charges made a real fight and soon their pursuit for goals became realistic.
Andrew Kawooya equalized for Vipers in the 38th minute from a defensive blunder before Tonny Tulituuka converted from the spot, three minutes to the break after Iga was fouled in the box.
In the second half, Najib Iga who had missed two clean chances finally got a break through as he struck in the third goal.
Muhammed Nsereko came off the bench could have made it four but his effort struck the woodwork before his second attempt was thwarted out into a corner kick.
The Venoms squandered some open chances and were almost made to pay in the last 5 minutes as KCCA mounted numerous raids.
Sadat Anaku’s solo effort got the Kasasiro boys a second goal but the reigning champions showed resilience until the final minute to bag a third straight win.
KCCA remain on the table win 13 points , one better than second placed Vipers junior team.
