New signing Abraham Ndugwa scored 46 minutes into his SC Villa and Vipers SC debut to begin his career with the Venoms in style.

Vipers who were one man less after team captain Taddeo Lwanga was given marching orders gave their best performance coming from behind to brush aside rivals SC Villa 3-1.

The evergreen Dan Sserunkuma turned three SC Villa defenders before swiftly sweeping it in with his left foot past Villa goalkeeper for an equalizer on 42 minutes. Habib Kavuma had put the Jogoos ahead.

Ndugwa, who was handed his Vipers debut against SC Villa on Wednesday, weeks after being cleared by Fufa to feature for the Kitende based side, wasted little time in impressing, scoring just after the breather to give his team a 2-1 lead before Moses Waiswa sealed the maximum points with a beautiful drilled in freekick.

Showing confidence and desire, Ndugwa raced past one defender after Waiswa had broke off on the right. Waiswa’s cross headed out over only for the forward to improvise, back heeling it (scorpion kick) in spectacularly way.

“It’s amazing. I’m happy to make my debut and to top it off with a goal is fantastic,” Ndugwa told www.viperssc.com in an interview. “The win and three points are the most important thing, so I’m happy.”

“We played well as a team, kept possession well, played in between lines. When l was named on the starting lineup, l was just thinking of how l could make an impact, and thank Allah l did.”
