Vipers Sports Club maintained its perfect start to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League season registering its fourth win out of four games on Wednesday.

The Venoms came from a goal down to defeat SC Villa 3-1 and move back to the top of the table on 12 points.

Despite a sloppy start that saw the home side take the lead through Habib Kavuma, the Venoms put up a remarkable performance to stage a comeback and eventually win the game.

Dan ‘Muzeeyi’ Sserunkuma equalized for Vipers SC in the 42rd minute after being set up by Moses Waiswa.

The goal gave Javier Martinez Espinoza’s charges confidence and almost took the lead before the interval with Noah Wafula coming close.

The intensity was maintained even after recess and two minutes into the second stanza, Abraham Ndugwa who was making his debut fired Vipers in the lead.

The goal from Ndugwa was spectacular scoring with a scorpion kick after donkey work from Wafula on the right wing.

Waiswa stretched the lead in the 51st minute with a well curled free kick after Duncan Sseninde had been fouled just outside the box.

Despite Vipers reducing to ten men, after skipper Taddeo Lwanga was shown marching orders with ten minutes on the clock, the team remained composed to sail victory.

The coach called for changes with Rahmat Ssenfuka replacing Sserunkuma, Halid Lwalilwa came on for Bashir Asiku while Abraham Ndugwa paved way for Tito Okello.
